LZH’s MSGT. Roberto Limones Awarded Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal

Twentynine Palms, CA - Service is not always measured by rank, recognition, or awards. Sometimes, it is measured by the lives we impact along the way.

Level Zero Heroes Hockey is proud to congratulate one of our own, USMC Master Sergeant Roberto Limones, on being awarded the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (MOVSM).

The recognition reflects a commitment to service that extends far beyond Limone’s responsibilities in the United States Marine Corps.

Over the years, Limones has dedicated his time to coaching and mentoring youth hockey players, helping young athletes grow not only as players, but as individuals. His leadership and willingness to invest in the next generation represent the values of service, mentorship, and community that have defined his career.

That same commitment to helping others has also been an important part of his time with Level Zero Heroes Hockey.

A member of the LZH roster since 2023, Limones has supported our mission of raising awareness for our beloved SameYou and helping shine a light on the challenges faced by brain injury survivors and their families. In addition, Limones has been critical in helping lead our path forward to new chapters in LZH’s journey.

Currently serving as a Communications Chief at Twentynine Palms, Limones continues to demonstrate that service does not end when the uniform comes off or when the workday is over. It continues in our communities, through the people we mentor, the causes we support and the lives we choose to impact.

The Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal is a fitting recognition of that commitment.
