LEVEL ZERO HEROES HOCKEY TAKES THE GLOBAL STAGE IN THE NETHERLANDS

Netherlands - What began as a hockey tournament quickly became something much bigger.
This past weekend, Level Zero Heroes Hockey traveled overseas for international tournament play in the Netherlands, bringing together players from the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany under one banner — all while continuing to raise awareness and funds for our beloved SameYou.
Made up of Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors and Marines the LZH roster represented more than just a hockey team. It represented the power of connection, service, and purpose through sport.
Competing in a 12-team international field during the Flashguns Cup, LZH finished with an impressive 4-2 record and secured 4th place overall against teams from across Europe.
TOURNAMENT RESULTS
- Denmark — 3-0 Win
- England — 2-0 Win
- Netherlands — 4-1 Win
- Germany — 3-2 Loss
- France — 5-1 Win
- Belgium — 3-1 Loss
Throughout the weekend, LZH showcased fast-paced, physical, and disciplined hockey while building friendships and relationships that stretched far beyond the rink.
One of the most meaningful moments of the trip came away from the ice — finally meeting Pearce and Hunt, along with their family, in person after building connections across borders through the hockey community. Moments like that reminded everyone involved that this journey has always been about more than competition. It is about people, friendship, and building bridges that otherwise may never have existed.
But the mission was never just about wins and losses.
“This trip proved exactly what Level Zero Heroes Hockey is all about,” said the organization.
“Different backgrounds. Different countries. Different branches of service. One mission.”
From the opening puck drop to the final whistle, the Netherlands experience delivered unforgettable moments both on and off the ice — international camaraderie, late-night team bonding and the opportunity to represent something larger than themselves on foreign soil.
For LZH, this was not the end of the journey.
It was the beginning of a new global chapter.
With additional international events already on the horizon, including future tournament play in Germany and Belfast, the momentum behind the program continues to grow as LZH expands its mission worldwide.
To all of the supporters, donors, sponsors, and followers who made Operation Netherlands possible:
Thank you for standing with us.
